Ashton is Mysterious, handsome, kind, and yet authoritative. He has a witty personality and won't let others tell him what he can and cannot do. He enjoys inventing things that make life easier (i.e. beds, cars, some cell phones, computers, cameras, and other such things though he'll never let it be known that he invented them). His significant other is Lilith, but they aren't actually married or mated though they oldest two of his daughters belong to Lilith. He was the head of the Ancient Council and in later years made sure no one knew so that he could live in peace, but that didn't help.

"No woman has ever measured up to my standard. A woman must be strong, courageous, selfless, a fine warrior, and beautiful inside as much as out, but I can’t find one woman that meets all of those standards"

"Crying isn’t weakness. Crying helps release your emotions and hormones so that you can get back to normal life. Please, don’t ever convince yourself to stop feeling. Yes, others will pity you and you will feel the pain, but it makes you who you are."

Schedule for Posts: Something New

Hello, everyone, I know not everyone enjoys schedules, but being slightly ADD I need to have a schedule or I lose track of time and a day turns into a week. You all know how that goes because at some time or another we've all lost track of time and regretted it later. Blogging is entirely new to me, so I'm going to try and keep to a schedule. I'm going to list it here so I can stay accountable for it.

I'm going to post a long blog every Saturday. Yes, every Saturday. I'm going to try to include some sort of fun and interesting topic that every writer/author deals with, then I'll give solutions I've tried and if they've worked or not. Again, some of them may not include anything informational at all. It may just include a rant on a popular subject or it may give some story about life. One never knows.

I'm going to post a Character Introduction every two Wednesdays. Why Wednesday, you may ask. Well, it's because Wednesdays are my down day. It's the middle of the week, I work on Thursdays, and it's just a convenient day. I'm sorry if it inconveniences you, but you can always go back and read it later.

These Character Introductions will be about Main characters and will include a biography and a description of said character. It will also include a short quote from them that I've written in one of the seven books that have the first rough draft completed. They may be in the first book, they may not appear until the seventh book, but they will be in the series somewhere. Be warned.

As always, thank you for reading and I hope you stick around and enjoy more of the insanity. Stay awesome,
Jenn Williams

When People Read My Books, Editing Woes, and life

**Insert some panicked face here** Yes, that's right ladies and gentleman, I am a nervous wreck when I ask anyone to read my books, especially the first one, which has to be read first, duh! I say it's the "first book" when in all actuality it isn't the first book I started writing. It's actually the one I wrote the majority of for NANOWRIMO 2014 and yes it was over fifty-two thousand words, but it was full of  grammatical errors and typos or words that weren't the right word. I was tearing my hair out by the end, but that process is almost over. NOT!

I let my best friend read the first chapter thinking I had indeed edited the whole thing, when I hadn't. Whoops! Sorry Hannah and now I've asked both of my "beta readers" to stop so I can fix the mistakes. It was embarrassing and nerve-racking. It was like letting a human child walk out of the house with their underwear on their head. Yikes! To top that I was sitting here thinking everything was fine and dandy, when I was failing.

So now here I sit thoroughly editing the first book in the series again. If you follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Tumblr you know that I was really feeling it a couple days ago. I have been trying to edit at least one chapter or so a day, but the problem with that is... LIFE. This week has been uber busy.

Life just ran away with me and then I started reading other books again, which I didn't really do at all last year. Oops! **Shrugs and tucks a piece of hair behind my ear** How can I expect to be a good writer when I'm not a reader? The answer is I can't. So I'm going to head back to editing now **sets head on keyboard** then I'm going to head to bed before church tomorrow.

As always, thank you for reading and even stopping by my page,
Jenn Williams.

here are the links to my other social media if you don't already follow them:
Please bear with my the whole facebook author page is new for me and I still haven't quite finished it, so it'll be getting tweaks here and there.

Thanks again guys! Go be awesome!

Wanted: Beta Readers

All right, as promised a bigger blog. I know a lot of my friends, family, and other viewers are readers so I'm looking to you for constructive criticism and beta reading. I've had some good reviews so far, but I recently edited and need more input. The first book doesn't have a solid title yet and only two of my friends have read the latest edition.

If you want more information on the book look up to the last post and you'll find a few details. It's been a trial and error process of writing and editing. There have been many ups and downs, but I'm not giving up. The series has been at least seven years in the making (More on the history of  my writing later) and I don't intend to let it fizzle out now.

Anyhow, If you'd like to be a beta reader for the first novel that I've hesitantly title, the Ancient Council (but that isn't a solid title), please let me know. You can either email me and I'll respond as I am able. Again, thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy it.

Here's a little clip to wet your appetite:

I sat at the head of the long mahogany table in the ornate meeting hall and waited for the others to arrive while I thought about how to go about this properly. It had never been done before and wasn’t something I took lightly. A Council of Fallen preternatural beings was unheard of, but I was about to do the unthinkable. I trusted each one of the fifteen of us enough to know that together we could accomplish what others had failed to do.

Thank you!

I'm seriously flabbergasted at the amount of views on my first blog. There were fifty-nine views and it hasn't even been a week! Not only that, but the blog was viewed in the USA and in Germany! Thank you all so much for reading and also for the comments too. I'm working on a bigger post, but I had to say thank you to those who viewed my blog.

Thanks again and I'll have another post up soon.

First Blog

The first blog Ever! Let me just go scream for a minute (*walks out of the room screams and walks back in*). All right, now that that's out of the way I feel better. Just a warning for those of you who know me in my daily life: the things I post here are going to be specifically for my books and my aim to wet people's appetite so that I may one day be published. That being said my books may not be to your liking. If they aren't then feel free to leave and never look back. I will be fine with it, I know not everyone will like my books.

Warning: My books are not in the christian genre by any means. They are about supernatural (I prefer the term preternatural) beings. The main story follows the troubles of a group of Fallen Angels who try to turn away from the Fallen Angel stereotype told from the view of the head Fallen Angel, Lucifer.

I know I've already lost some of you, because you're thinking, "Wait a minute Jenn. The devil is evil and he will never be a force for good." I'm going to stop you right there and respond with this, "These books are purely FICTION, although they do have some mythological and historical beings and places. It's not going to be realistic. Get reality out of your head and focus on the fictional world where anything can happen."

All right, are you back with me? Good. Travel with me back to the Era where empires are built and a charismatic, fearsome leader is what helps bind a race of beings together. Rome is the current reigning Empire, but on the coast of present day Slovenia we find Lucifer has made a home in a castle built into the side of a cliff. His armies are just returning from fighting with an unruly group of demons and all demon kind is now back under his control, or is it?

This first book is a whirlwind of battles, politics, and romance, but don't let that stop you from stepping into the world where Demons exist and the preternatural is always one step behind you. The future can be changed in one moment. Forget what you know about our world and step into the world as they know it. Demons can be tame and live alongside humans, but when allegiances turn sour don't knock on the devil's door, because he isn't there to save you.

Thank you for reading and I hope you decide to keep up with my blog. Have a nice day.
